Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing or maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20-plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly: that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we're going to show you fog light replacement on this 2001 PT Cruiser, same as any 2001 to 2005. Tools you'll need are jack and jack stands, which is optional. What I mean by that is in this video, I do raise up the car and remove the tire. You don't necessarily have to do that. It does make it a lot easier. If you do jack it up, you'll want a tire iron or a 19 millimeter socket with ratchet and breaker bar to remove the wheel, 7 and 10 millimeter wrenches or sockets with ratchet, and then a flat blade screwdriver or needle nose pliers to pull out some little push pins that hold the inner fender in place.
You can see I have the car jacked up and the wheels off. You'll want to remove the little pin at the bottom. This is up near the bumper. Looking from the bottom of the car, there's a pin that holds the lower plastic panel at the bottom. Just use a screwdriver, or if you use a pair of needle nose pliers, put it up in there and pry that out. Now there are three 7 millimeter screws that you'll want to remove. We'll speed that up as we take out those 7 millimeter screws and then put that panel off to the side.
You'll want to apply some penetrating oil to the backs of the bolts on the fog light. If you're just looking at changing the fog light bulb, you turn it counter clockwise and then work it out of the socket. A lot like headlights, it just has a couple clips. I just work my thumbnail under the clips and then work the bulb out. Put that back on and just let it rest there for now.
Next, you're actually going to remove this lower horn 10 millimeter bolt. Now you can remove these 10 millimeter nuts that hold the light. You do just have to loosen these. Loosen this one up just a little bit more. There's a little tab that it sticks in right here. Push your fog light forward, and then up. Get a little rough with it and out.
We've put our nuts onto our new light. The new light from 1A Auto is nice and clear. Put the new light down. The fun part's just kind of getting this to fit in here. There's a tab there, and then there's a tab underneath. There's a tab here, tab underneath. Make sure those are in. Then, you can tighten it up. Plug it back in. Then put the front close panel back up into place and the three bolts that hold it. Also, I think I forget to film here, but there's also a push pin at the bottom that pushes in, and then tighten those up nice and snug.
Now, you'll want to put the wheel back on. Start your lug nuts all by hand first to avoid cross threading them. Then I use my impact wrench just to tighten them preliminarily. Then once the vehicle's back on the ground, I use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to 100 foot pounds using a star pattern.

In this video, we're going to be working with our 2006 Chrysler 300. We're going to show you how to remove and replace your vehicle's fog lights. This is the actual housing and lens assembly, not just the bulb. Our vehicle has a 300 bumper on it, so it may be a little bit different for your 300 M.
If you like this video please click "Subscribe," we have a ton more information on this and many other vehicles. If you need this part for your car, you can follow the link down in the description over to 1AAuto.com.
Raise and support your vehicle. We're using a lift to make it easier to show you what's going on, but this job can easily be done at home on a jack and jack stands.
In order to remove your fog lights, you'll need to remove the vehicle's belly pan or air dam, which is missing on our vehicle. But to remove it you'll have three plastic pins in each wheel well here, a series of bolts along the bottom of the bumper, you can see the openings for all of them here. Three more in the opposite wheel well, again, part of ours is missing. And then there are four bolts, here, looks like they're 10mm that secure it to the bottom of the vehicle's subframe.
Once that's out of the way, we've removed our wheel and tire and the broken piece of our wheel well to show you what's going on with the fog light, however, you'll be able to reach this right from underneath here with that belly pan out of the way. Lift up on this tab and disconnect the connector for the bulb. Then you have three little hooked tabs here, which will compress and push out of the housing, and simply push the fog light assembly right out of the bumper.
Reinstalling your fog light, this little rounded edge at the top is going to be the one that faces up, so line that up and push your fog light through until all three of those tabs lock into place. Make sure it's in there nice and tight and reconnect your bulb.
You'll then reinstall the belly pan or air dam underneath as long as your vehicle's isn't missing.
