1A Auto hits home run for Mass General Hospital and Red Sox Foundation

The 1A Auto team donated 50 IBM ThinkPads to Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Program. The laptops will be used at MGH's new mobile, temporary community health center during the COVID-19 public-health crisis.

1A Auto donates necessary supplies to its local communities' first responders and health care workers

Team members of 1A Auto recently donated medical gear to first responders and health care workers to help increase their supply during this challenging time. 1A Auto's R&D Center is located in Pepperell, MA, and supplies were donated to first responders in nearby communities.

Following those donations, 1A Auto Kansas team member Ryan Moyer delivered over 1,000 protective masks to Tabatha Hurley, office coordinator for Shawnee Mission Advent Health in Lenexa, KS. The hospital’s mask supply had been critically low. Moyer also donated 300 face masks and 2 boxes of gloves to Police Sgt. P. Simonich for officers in Kansas City, KS, and later donated supplies to the local Kansas Highway Patrol.

1A Auto transitions to providing customers essential supplies

In addition to auto parts, 1A Auto will begin to offer household items that consumers may need during these uncertain times. 1A Auto will also start to produce how-to videos specific to customers' current daily needs.

1A Auto's CEO Rick Green recently made a donation to fund the annual Pepperell, Mass. Memorial Day parade. $5,000 was donated to the Pepperell VFW Post 3291, which organizes the annual event.

Green, whose father and grandfathers were all veterans, recalled times when his family would drive his father’s Pontiac GTO convertible in the parade when he was younger.

Members of the 1A Auto Parts team visited Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s annual Open House on Nov. 3 to teach kids and their parents how to check their oil and offer other basic car and road safety tips.

1A Auto expanding to Reno. Looking to fill 100 jobs

RENO, Nev. – A Massachusetts-based auto parts retailer will soon expand its services to Reno and plans to hire 100 or more employees by this fall.

Rick Green, CEO of 1A Auto, announced this week the company has signed a 5-year lease at a new 150,000-square-foot fulfillment facility on Moya Boulevard in Reno in order to better serve customers on the West Coast.
