Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace your blower motor resistor on this 2005 Ford Focus. It's the same part and process on these vehicles from 2000 to 2007. The items you'll need for this are a new blower motor resistor from 1AAuto.com and an 8mm socket and ratchet.
Open your glove box, and on other side there are tabs. Just push in the sides of the glove box and pull it down. Your blower motor resistor's located right here. There's a harness connected to it. Push the tab on the bottom of the harness and pull the harness free. Next, you want to remove the 8mm bolt at the bottom of the resistor. We'll just fast forward as Don removes that. Once the bolt's removed your resistor just pulls out.
On the left, is the old one. On the right, is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they're going to mount exactly the same. Push your new resistor into place and then twist in, by hand, that 8mm bolt. Then tighten it up with your socket and ratchet. Next, reconnect your harness. Then, push in the sides of your glove box and close it, and you're all set.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace your blower motor on this 2005 Ford Focus. It's the same part and a similar process on these vehicles from 2000 to 2007. The only items you'll need for this is a new blower motor from 1AAuto.com and an 8mm socket and ratchet.
Start off by opening your glove box. On either side you'll see these tabs. Just push the sides of the glove box in and pull it down. Right here is an 8mm bolt just go ahead and remove it. Now push in the sides of your glove box and push it back into place. Then turn this panel sideways and pull it down and out. Next, push the tab on the harness and disconnect the blower motor. Right here, there's an 8mm bolt, another one here, and a third one right up there. Just go ahead and remove all three of those. As you remove the last one, the blower motor will come down.
On the right is the old one, on the left is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they're going to mount exactly the same. Take your new blower motor and push it up into place. Line up those holes. Then replace the first bolt by hand and tighten it up. Then replace those other two bolts and tighten them up as well. Take care when tightening these, you don't want to over tighten them as you're just going into plastic. If you over tighten them you could strip the plastic out and they won't hold.
Reconnect your harness, and then feed this panel back up into place. You want to feed it up sideways, and then pull it down, and push it back down into place. Push in the sides of your glove box, pull it down, and then replace this 8mm bolt. Once you've tightened it up, push in the sides of your glove box, close it and you're all set.
