Every thing I've bought has fit and looked good. I was surprised that it did not come with the ballast. It did not say if it did or not. As luck would have it I needed a new ballast also. It was nearly as much as the headlight. However, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It does possibly explain why the exact same photo on the next item was nearly twice as much money as the one I ordered.

The light in the description looks black. It looks different than the one in the video. Mine have a more chrome look to it like the one in the video. Are these two different lights? Is this the same light as the one in the "How To" video?

The ballast is a circuit that connects the HID bulb to the cars power source. It helps turn on the lights initially and regulates the current once the lights are working. You can use your OE part or purchase one locally.
