Replacing the Crank Position Sensor was easier than I thought. 1A sent me the exact fit part, looks just like the OEM part it replaced. Will order form 1A again.

We do not have any factory specification, but you may search through a service manual to obtain this. If you view an online automotive forum you may get more details as well by other owners of the same vehicle.

The Crankshaft Position sensor is located at the right-rear side of the engine cylinder block. It is positioned and bolted into a machined hole in the engine block

If it's a V-6 engine, it should be at the rear of the engine block on passenger side. Remove passenger side front wheel and plastic fender liner and you'll see it. You can trace the wires right to the sensor.

It comes exactly as you see it. When I replaced mine I could feel the bushing you might be talking about already attached around the cavity this inserts in to. It was rubber and it gave me some difficulty trying to slide the sensor past during install.

No one on my Dodge Durango stays in the bellhousing. You just pull the old sensor out and put the new one back in

Thanks for your inquiry. If you are encountering a fitment issue with the crankshaft potiions sensor it may be due to the incorrect part being installed in the vehicle. However, here could be multiple reasons why you're having this particular problem. We suggest taking your vehicle to a nearby reputable shop to identify the cause.

If you replaced it with a new sensor it might have got bent when installing it if the old one didn't hit. You could check the old on for wear if it is it's possible that the flex wheel is bent worst case. Hopefully this helps.
