A1 Auto came up first page on top of an internet search for Volvo XC90 heater fan. Ordered it online without any hassle, it was delivered quickly and was the correct part! All good!

Good but not perfect

I installed this about a week ago, replacing the original OEM unit. Unfortunately, the fan blades were rubbing against the housing after playing with it for a while I realized the plastic casing supplied with the blower motor was too soft and flexible and didn't hold the blower in position. I transferred the blower motor and fan into the OEM case and immediately everything worked as it should. Motor and fan blades are great and basically, that is all you need, just don't use the plastic case and everything is fine. For the money, I cannot complain.

Supplied casing does not work

I had the same issue as "A N" where the fan would rub the housing after installed. I'm not sure it is a flexibility issue as I didn't notice a difference between the two, but I think it holds the fan too high when installed. In any case "A N"s solution of transferring the motor to the factory casing solved the problem. So, yes, I got the part I needed, but having to assemble, install, take back out, reassemble and re-install was a hassle.

This product works well as a replacement and there are great videos on how to install it. The original came broken and I was sent a replacement promptly. The replacement is fairly easy but it takes some time.

After removing old fan motor, I discovered the new one from 1AAuto was broken. In addition, the new one had manufacturing defects. Upon contact with 1AAuto, I was assured a new one would be sent "next day". Contact was made on a Saturday. The following Thursday, the part arrived in good condition. Price was very good, and they did resolve the issue. I will certainly use 1AAuto again.

Saved roughly $2000 doing this job myself on a 2013 Volvo XC-90. Part arrived in a timely manner as described. I did purchase a restrictor plate afterward and replaced everything. Total cost including my personal time about $140. FYI - The video was misleading in my opinion. There is no way you are getting that 5th screw out unless you are removing entire dash. Take out the other 4 screws and break out the old blower. Once it is out I cut some of the foam and cleaned out around 5th screw and did replacement. I have replacement mounted with 4 screws and works like a charm.

Hello, We've been listening to a little bird in our 2001 Volvo V70 from the heater fan motor until it finally failed. The 1A AUTO video was excellent and gave me the confidence to do the job. Price was great, delivery was quick and item was high quality. I'm a pretty good shade tree mechanic, but the removal was a little difficult. I actually had to break the rear tab on the existing fan housing. Our independent mechanic said he had to do the same. The installation was very simple. I will be doing more business with 1A Auto based on this experience. Thanks
