The radiator in my 01 Ford Supercrew (5.4 w/towing package) had a crack where the top radiator hose connects. Watched the 1A video on replacing my radiator and decided to dive in. Bought this radiator, received it fast and was able to pull the old radiator and drop the new one in...perfect fit, super easy to install. I did have some problems with the bottom radiator hose, but i believe that was more my lack of experience than anything else. Just remember *Do not* remove the white ring around the bottom hose connection, it is there to help the seal and is not for shipping like the other openings have. Mine split when i removed the tab, not sure if that was supposed to happen, but i could not get the hose over it while it was on the connection to the radiator. It would not stay in the correct position. So i placed it inside the hose how it would sit at installation and the put the hose on the connection. Checked around the hose to make sure the white ring was where it was supposed to be

Radiator arrived on time and in good condition It fit just like it should. A big plus was the extensions on the connections for the trans cooler which made it easy to get a normal wrench on the radiator fitting to apply counter torque to the tightening (or loosening) of the transmission cooler lines. Radiator works great. Whether it was long trips at 70+ mph or stop and go on the fwy in 105+ degree temp, this radiator never got over 145 degrees as I measured. Lots of reserve capacity for anything in ordinary usage.

I think the tow package may have had an additional external tranny cooler? This is for a regular application.

It will work, but will it fit? This radiator I got to replace the one in my 98 truck with the 5.4L. It is about 4 inches taller than the radiator for the 4.6L in my 03 Mustang.

The lines on both the driver and passenger side fit perfectly on my 08 Explorer. I wound up having to buy a tranny line disconnect tool from Amazon though.
