These come with studs for both upper and lower replacements, installed in under 10 minutes and are nice and smooth, much easier to use now that we are older than the extra heavy duty. Those took two hand and a puff to get the rear gate down. These can be lowered with one hand. Wife really appreciates that.

There are 2 reasons for the 5. And I generally only give 4 because nobody or anything is perfect. So: 1. The parts I did get fit like a glove and I was very satisfied. As well the shipment was on time. 2. And not related to the part quality but I was shorted 1 of the lift supports. With much hesitation emailed 1A Auto customer support and explained the situation. I didn't call directly because I was sure this would lead to an argument and unnecessary stress. However I was really really pleased that the only discussion in the reply was about the tracking number of the replacement shipment. WOW! Thanks so much 1A Auto.

I've owed a 1999 Dodge Durango for more than 20 years. During that time I've replaced the tailgate lift supports twice and this time makes three. I was very impressed with the strength of these supports. Installation was I challenge which I eventually won. Now my tailgate opens quickly and takes two hands to close.
