Great replacement part for 02 Civic LX

The fitment of the exhaust manifold is exact and precise. The gaskets and included spring bolts also worked perfectly. The only downside is that the heat shield uses nuts and bolts to the pieces to the manifold. The top shield has to be removed in order to install the center nut properly. Getting the tiny nuts back on the bolts behind the shield is a bit tricky, but can be done by reaching around the back side of the manifold. Everything fits and works perfectly and passed my safety re-inspection.

Fast and easy purchasing process. Looked and felt like a quality part. Having to install the heat shield was a pain in the butt because it wasn't easy to access the back side to attach the nut on my 2003 LX. Installing the other end of the exhaust was tough but that was because of having and old car that doesn't give as much to attach the springs and bolts. Other than that, this was a great product. I would recommend it.

Fast shipping! Bought this kit to replace the cracked exhaust manifold on my moms 2004 civic. Everything went on and fit perfectly. All bolt holes lined up and with the added new hardware for the exhaust pipe flange, the reconnect was so much easier than the disconnect. Plus, with the added how to video on the website, I knew just what to do and expect. Great job 1AAuto!

It definitely quieted the sound inside the car. Doesn't feel like the car is going to vibrate apart any more. However the installation was a bit difficult due to the heat shield mounting screws. You have to remove it to attach it to the engine but you can't get behind the drivers side to place the nut and screw the bolt through. Nut needs to be welded to catalytic converter so you don't have to reach behind it. Other than that it works great.

I purchased this part 3 months ago and its look like it is already making little noise while I parked my car idle or standing for the traffic signals. But the good thing is A1 provided 5 years part warranty so if it starts giving me more trouble I will return it and ask for exchange. Although price for this part is cheaper than all others in the market.

Works better than the old one because it's not plugged but now has check engine light for p0420 cat efficiency below threshold . Even after replacement of both oxygen sensors

Part fit great and works great. Not sure how I was supposed to hold one heat shield nut in place behind the shield so left it off. Also had to use the old spring bolts because I didn't have a way to compress the new ones and turn them in at the same time.

Installed and mated up properly and has not caused any engine codes, had every part needed for install. Knocking off a star for the pain that was the heat shield install. They should have welded the nuts on. Used another nut and longer bolt after losing the one it came with. Had to kinda force my hand through the gap to thread it on.

Has been working good ...the only issue was the stock gasket was a little bent....when i installed it it made a noise so i bought a different gasket and has been working good ever since..

This fit perfect on my 2001 Honda Civic. I did have to reuse my old bolts. the new ones that came with this were a little shorter. It was too difficult to force them in against the springs.

I'm giving this a 3 star would possibly be a 5 Except when I got the I noticed it had weld splatters in the downstream O2 sensor hole. I thought I could pick them out but they were so bad I actually had to tap it to clean the threads out. Finally got it to take the O2 sensor. The other thing that would be a big improvement and would help is if the nuts were welded on the backside of the heat shield. It's almost impossible to hold the nuts and put the shield on too because there's not enough room. Spotwelding the nuts would be so much better. Other than that it I like it so far. The car is running great and throwing no codes.

Perfect fit in every way. The bolts are welded on the back side of the flange near the circular gasket so there is no struggle securing the exhaust pipe. I replaced the factory part with this one and they appear to be exactly the same. I will certainly be ordering more parts from A1 in the future.

This worked great for four years but now the car won't pass emissions and onboard diagnsotics and and state test station say it's a weak catalytic converter. I guess that's why these are less expensive than others? The original factor part lasted 18 years.

Catalytic converters are internally designed separately on some vehicles between California Emissions and Federal Emissions. If your vehicle is equipped with California Emissions, and you purchase one for a Federal Emissions part the CEL may come on.
